Replaced front wheel bearing hub. Extremely difficult removing original. The steel hub against the corroded alloy steering knuckle seating took three of the four hours to unseat. Would not do this job on axle stands again. Really needed to be done on hoist. |

Suspension Service Light was recurring on Dash. Ended up being diagnosed as a TSB computer malfunction due to item plugged into OBD port. Dealer reset computer, and said not to put anything in port. Since this impacts even the ones used by insurance companies, I think it is a defect in the system. |

1000 mi | On the way home from the picking the car up new, a steering wheel shimmy and slight pull became apparent. Took the car into the selling dealer two weeks later to have wheel balance and alignment completed. Was sent to a second dealer for balance/alignment issue who had more modern equipment. Alignment pull was resolved. Wheel imbalance was largely reduced but remains present at around 70mph. Have a ticket open with Buick for another trip. |

42160 mi | Leaking power steering pump |
47802 mi | Rattling somewhere in the suspension; loud "click" when starting from standstill; shop "retorqued all bolts" but this did not fix fault. I had another shop diagnose the issue (noise from suspension) they said it was the rear transmission mount assembly. The shop replaced the rear transmission mount, but the noise migrated to the rear driver side wheel - loud clank when going over bumps in the road (e.g. street car tracks, manhole covers, etc.) Loud clank at rear drivers side wheel when going over bumps like streetcar tracks and sunken manhole covers, etc. They said it was because a clip holding the emergency brake cable was missing. They replaced the clip, but the noise still remains (loud "clank" in rear drivers side wheel when going over bumps in the road). I give up. |
