| Jun 201864480 mi | I am a about to tackle this job (hopefully successfully). Transmission is hesitant changing gears, with hard cha ge downs. Unfortunately the previous owner did not change dct fluid and filter when it was due at 60k km (was 10k over). Delaying service is suicide for these getrag transmissions. Had quotes of over $10k from Ford to $3500 to overhaul at transmission specialist. However, after much research I believe the problem is purely hydraulic. Fluid for the valve body is shared with cooling for the clutch. The result is wear material from the clutch builds up and deposits in the valve bodies and sensors. I am hoping a clean and service of the valve body and mechatronic unit will be the remedy without having to remove the transmission. | ||
