With 28 to 30 mpg on the highway with a vacation load of luggage, food and other equipment she takes to the road with ease and comfort I never had in any car I previously owned. Mileage is close to the intermediate size Buick I used to drive but this car is much more comfortable and worth the mileage difference.

My average MPG is about 24 right now. It does better on the highway and not as well around town. I do not drive it hard. I am using (per Ford) Regular 87 in it and it seems fine. I ran one tank of 93 Premium and did not notice a difference in performance or mileage.

It's got a 20 gallon tank and I basically never see 400 miles on the trip counter. 20mpg in mixed use (almost 40 mile round trip commute) has been something to get used to after living with a 4-cylinderMazda 6. In addition, when I hit 1/4 tank on the gas gauge, the range computer plummets to the point that I start planning a fuel stop within 50 miles of the 1/4 tank mark. I don't know if this is unique to my car or not.

22 or 23 MPG at best on the highway is mediocre but not terrible given the size and 24V V6.
