56000 mi

US $15
Windshield washer tubing from tank to windshield washer jet broke. This has been reported by many owners on a Porsche 981 forum (Planet-9). I noticed dried residue under the hood after washing/detailing my Boxster before moving it to storage. It’s a pain to find the right size tubing and then heating it up to go over the two ends of he break. There are Porsche parts that can be purchased, but they don’t seem very durable. Another solution for some is to use small engine fuel line tubing (like that on a weed-wacker or leaf blower) and place a piece of the tubing inside both sides of the break. It’s a rare case of Porsche using cheap plastic that becomes brittle with age. I’m still not satisfied with the repair and may eventually replace the OEM tubing.
