PCM 3.1 which was retrofitted by Porsche after delivery failed less than a year after it was installed (cost of install was over $5k USD). Unit rebooted constantly (every two minutes). Porsche tried to re-load the software on the unit and that failed. They tried to replace the unit with a new one and that didn't work either (they said that the complicated coding they need to do wouldn't work). In the process they marked up the leather dash with small indentations and scratches.
The dealer has spent the last two weeks "working with Porsche" on what to do and so far they don't know.
