Limited has a less fierce, chromier fascia than other 4Runners. TRD Pro adds mesh grille, skid plate to Trail's already aggressive fascia.
Toyota designed the 4Runner to appear rugged, not pretty. They try to pretty the Limited up anyway. Sleeker, more upscale Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Limited wears dubs. High step up aided by power-deploying running board (stowed here). Chunky, upright, traditional SUV proportions. Tail lamps might be a bit much.
Running board ($1,500 option on the Limited) automatically deploys when the door is opened. Like on other recently updated Toyotas, the headlamps and tail lamps protrude. Too much going on?
Attractive upholstery inside the Limited, but for some reason silver instead of black plastic trim. Cleaner, more upscale styling inside the Jeep.
Large knobs and buttons close at hand, good ergonomics. Except seat temp controls too low. Center stack looks like a 1980s boombox. In the Limited, one with some faux timber.
About ten cubic feet more than the Jeep with the rear seat up. About twenty cubic feet more than the Jeep with the seat folded. Benefit of a tall, square body.
Though the engine is centered, its cover is offset to the left. Why? And the six circles? Solid, adequately powerful 4.0-liter V6 engine.
