2005 Ford Freestyle Pros and Cons A member in New Jersey, United States too many expensive parts to replace |
2005 Ford Freestyle Pros and Cons John F The power is good. Not the strongest but plenty of power for hauling the family. The ECVT transmission is OUTSTANDING, silky and seamless, delivering the same 19-20 MPG with AWD that I got with our old Audi A4 Avant despite being a much larger vehicle. |

2006 Ford Freestyle Pros and Cons Member157 AWD was a prime reason for purchase. |

2006 Ford Freestyle Pros and Cons Member1596 we only have 2WD drive yet went will in the snow, will cruise along so well sometimes easy to speed, but also does very well at passing |
2005 Ford Freestyle Pros and Cons Member2578 Underpowered in some situations. |
2007 Ford Freestyle Pros and Cons Member1833 Could have more power, especialy when you drive in the city |
2005 Ford Freestyle Pros and Cons Member750 the CVT was VERY unresponsive when hitting the gas to change lanes or pass |
2007 Ford Freestyle Pros and Cons Member2358 It is front wheel drive, and with the CVT, it is impossible to pull a trailer of any weight. |
2006 Ford Freestyle Pros and Cons Member1997 Very smooth with the CVT, not underpowered like some claim. Excellent freeway cruiser. Engine and transmission are integrated very well. |

2007 Ford Freestyle Pros and Cons awschneider The CVT and 3.0L V6 take a while to get used to - not quick or a barnburner by any stretch - but does move the vehicle adequately when it needs to, even when loaded. |
2005 Ford Freestyle Pros and Cons Member1437 CVT is extremely smooth. Great gas mileage for 7 passenger seating. On flat road at 60 MPH the vehicle will give 30 MPG! Thats with AWD! |
2007 Ford Freestyle Pros and Cons Member1087 Really enjoy the CVT engineering. This car just keeps pulling going up hill, passed everything on the road. |
2005 Ford Freestyle Pros and Cons Member388 The Duratec 3.0 is just too sluggish for a vehicle of this size. It gets great gas mileage on the other hand, so the trade-off is worth it, for me. |
2006 Ford Freestyle Pros and Cons Member2000 Smooth easy take off, no shifting with CVT |
2006 Ford Freestyle Pros and Cons Member2000 The CVT automatic works well. Not the most powerful thing on the road but OK much better than Mazda5 and good mileage for the size etc. |
