101 TrueDelta members own (or used to own) a 2005 Mini Hardtop. 15 of these members
(14.9%) have reported electrical repairs for their car.
A total of 25 electrical repairs to 2005 Mini Hardtops--an average of 0.2 per
vehicle--have been reported.
Same fault as before. Shop realized battery was the original 7 year old one. Replaced it.
Dash lights would not shut off regardless of headlight or ignition position. Dealer diagnosed internally shorted control module and replaced - $750. Remote locks also would not work, replaced receiver - $450
Dome light shorted out.
Passenger side power window motor failure. Ran diagnostics, checked fuses and nothing wrong indicated. Fixed using the "Fonzie method". A couple of good hard bangs on the door panel where the motor was mounted.
Air conditioning fan motor squealed at moderate to high speed.
Passengers side door lock actuator failed. replaced under extended warranty.
Airbag sensor in passenger seat went bad. Replaced seat bottom.
Had to replace passenger seat air-bag sensor, light was on.
