Mercedes-Benz M-Class Gas Mileage (MPG)

Mercedes-Benz M-Class Gas Mileage (MPG):

Unlike other fuel economy surveys, TrueDelta's Real-World Gas Mileage Survey includes questions about how and where a car was driven. So you can get an idea of the Mercedes-Benz M-Class's real-world MPG based on how and where you drive a car.

If you are not a TrueDelta member, you can see only five Mercedes-Benz M-Class MPG gas mileage averages for each powertrain. Log in or join us to see them all.

Mercedes-Benz M-Class Fuel Economy: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2009 4dr SUV turbocharged 210hp 3.0L V6 Diesel
7-speed shiftable automatic AWD
Other luxury cars/SUVs require premium gas. Diesel could be same or even cheaper than regular gas and with immense torque and a somewhat light foot I get almost 25Mpg
2007 4dr SUV turbocharged 215hp 3.0L V6 Diesel
7-speed shiftable automatic AWD
5000 lbs vehicle. Gets 32 mpg on highway up to 75 mph, faster than that mpg drops. 23 to 24 mpg around town
Mercedes-Benz M-Class Fuel Economy: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2007 4dr SUV 302-horsepower 5.0L V8
7-speed shiftable automatic AWD
Have a V8, so I should have expected, but mpg is averaging about 16 around town. With the current gas prices, I dread going to the pump. $90 to fill up the huge tank.
