Jul 2008 102000 767 A/C compressor failed. Dealer installed remanufactured unit, evacuated system and filled with refrigerant.
Mar 2009 110000 147 A/C would not cool. Shop found low refrigerant level, but could not find a leak. System evacuated and charged. Tracer dye left in system to assist mechanic if problem recurs.
Sep 2009 115000 0 Engine stalled, stumbled and had limited power after a 30-mile drive. Check Engine light did not come on. Problem cleared up en route to the dealer, and the shop was not able to replicate the problem. It has not recurred.
Jan 2010 120000 324 Replaced worn left front wheel bearing. Mechanic discovered problem on a previous service visit and stated that it didn't need immediate attention, so I chose a convenient time to have it fixed. Mechanic replaced an exhaust system clamp that had rusted and fallen off the car. He checked the exhaust system for leaks after installing the clamp.
Apr 2010 123000 249 I discovered a rotted rubber elbow in the PCV system that was leaking blowby gases near the HVAC fresh air intake. I bought a replacement part at the dealer and installed it myself. Engine sagged, stumbled and stalled immediately after refueling. This happened twice during April. Shop found a weak PCV hose that collapsed at high vacuum. I paid for replacement of the hose and the valve, and the problem has not recurred.
Jun 2010 125000 48 Car brought to shop with a grinding noise. Shop diagnosed problem as loose exhaust heat shields. Repair consisted of aligning shields, tightening nuts, and road-testing car to confirm that the problem was solved.
Oct 2010 129000 986 Intermittent hard starting traced to failing fuel pump. Pump and gauge sender unit replaced. Mechanic found a torn CV joint boot during inspection. Since the price was the same for a new OEM boot or a new aftermarket halfshaft, I had the halfshaft replaced.
May 2011 136000 75 Machined front brake rotors to eliminate vibration during braking at freeway speeds
Oct 2011 141000 982 Car suddenly developed a front-end clunk and grinding noise. Shop diagnosed the problem as a failing CV joint and replaced the halfshaft. While crawling under the car to inspect the CV joints, I found a large quantity of oil on the outside of the oil pan. Shop replaced the pan gasket, front main seal and an oil-soaked crankshaft damper.
Dec 2011 143000 1000 Car developed front-end noise and a slight steering wander. Ball joints, front struts and front stabilizer end links were replaced to correct the problem.
Mar 2012 146000 554 Water leaked into the front passenger footwell during a rainstorm. Shop replaced the RH cowl screen and installed a rain hat over the cabin air filter as described in a Ford TSB. Check Engine light came on with no drivability symptoms. The problem was an evaporative leak caused by a cracked and rusted fuel fill pipe.
Jun 2012 149000 0 Low Coolant sensor began giving false positive indications after 15 miles or so of driving. I unplugged the sensor to clear the light and will replace the degas bottle and sensor assembly myself at a later date.
Feb 2013 156000 70 PCV valve was leaking oil. Part replaced. Mechanic found and replaced frozen rear wheel cylinder.
Mar 2013 157000   Most recent odometer entry.

Dec 2012 110000 65 Lug studs were broken again. This is probably the 5th time. On one of the previous instances I numbered the studs with a sharpie and found that it was the exact same two breaking. Determined that the wheel hub was likely the problem.
Feb 2013 110000 200 Finally replaced the entire wheel hub in the back driver side. thus far lug studs have held
Apr 2013 130 sustained squeal from engine. Serpentine belt replaced. Rear brakes seized open, front brakes needed at least pads. GEM module was starting to fail. One if not both front stabilizer bar links was broken.
