Nissan Versa Reliability And Durability: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2009 4dr Sedan 107-horsepower 1.6L I4
5-speed manual FWD
I trust my car and know it will go when I need it. The bumpers, front and rear, are light plastic and should be upgraded but I am told most other cars are the same these days. Nissan advises against towing with the car likely because of the small engine but it tows behind my mh quite nicely. I will take this car over the VW Passat which I would rate as the more unreliable car I have ever owned. full 2009 Nissan Versa review

We have had our Versa for two and a half years and other than regular maintenance we have not had to spend a dime on the car. After 40k miles the brakes are still almost like new and the car still runs great. full 2007 Nissan Versa review

After I signed the papers but before I made it off the lot with my new car, we found the back window did not raise & lower properly, and I had to leave it for repairs right then. Also, the headlight assembly is very cheap and broke off at a 5mph bump. full 2008 Nissan Versa review

I do not feel safe driving it in winter due to the starting and speeding up issues. It has not gotten me from A to B reliably. Rather it has caused me much grief. full 2007 Nissan Versa review

Versa 1 visited the repair shop 5 times in 8000 miles before being totalled in an accident. Versa 2 visited the repair shop more than a dozen times in 31,000 miles, and had a dangerous transmission problem that was never fixed. full 2007 Nissan Versa review
