Nissan Versa Reliability

You won't find Nissan Versa reliability information like this anywhere else. Actual repair frequencies, not just vague dots. So you can tell how much the Nissan Versa truly differs from competing car models in reliability.

These stats are promptly updated four times a year, to much more closely track Nissan Versa reliability as the cars age. Others tell you how reliable the Nissan Versa was a year ago, when the cars were a year younger and had 12,000 fewer miles on them. Only TrueDelta tells you how reliable the Nissan Versa has been recently.

Reliability and Durability of the Nissan Versa: Pros

So far (47k miles) have had no engine trouble at all.  I bought a Nissan because of high reliability ratings.  We'll see.

I trust my car and know it will go when I need it. The bumpers, front and rear, are light plastic and should be upgraded but I am told most other cars are the same these days. Nissan advises against towing with the car likely because of the small engine but it tows behind my mh quite nicely. I will take this car over the VW Passat which I would rate as the more unreliable car I have ever owned.

out of the 50,000 KM i have done the only thing that has had to be done is change the tires and the usual servicing

Great car very few problems
2007 4dr Hatch 122-horsepower 1.8L I4

I had the engine cap missing for over a month and it still performed well. I can rely on it to always start on the first try and to survive parking garage & other urban hazards without failure.

We have had our Versa for two and a half years and other than regular maintenance we have not had to spend a dime on the car. After 40k miles the brakes are still almost like new and the car still runs great.

New Nissan model. Felt light/cheap.

After I signed the papers but before I made it off the lot with my new car, we found the back window did not raise & lower properly, and I had to leave it for repairs right then. Also, the headlight assembly is very cheap and broke off at a 5mph bump.

Less reliable and durable than Honda

I do not feel safe driving it in winter due to the starting and speeding up issues. It has not gotten me from A to B reliably. Rather it has caused me much grief.

Versa 1 visited the repair shop 5 times in 8000 miles before being totalled in an accident. Versa 2 visited the repair shop more than a dozen times in 31,000 miles, and had a dangerous transmission problem that was never fixed.

It was a first year model. I bought a first year model once and will never make the same mistake twice.
