2008 Pontiac G5 Pros and Cons Member2291 It was pretty peppy, but certainly no speed monster. Honestly this was the least impressive part, but the transmission and engine worked well together. The powerband was easy to find when downshifting. I was only short power when racing a Jetta 1.8t. |

2008 Pontiac G5 Pros and Cons Member4692 Underpowered for size of car, more specifically the weight of the car. Other new cars in same class have 20-30 more horsepower for same or lower price |

2007 Pontiac G5 Pros and Cons Member2633 I like the way it responds upon acceleration and passing and the gear shifting is very smooth. It also responds well to minor engine tuning. |

2008 Pontiac G5 Pros and Cons A member in Nova Scotia, Canada with the sound reduction resonator off it makes alot of difference. stock the car is well-performing and quiet, this is easily changed to be the powerful beast its capable of being. the power is smooth, and can be hard to get used to using it properly |

2008 Pontiac G5 Pros and Cons A member in New York, United States More power than other cars in the price range. Manual transmission and clutch feel good. Like other small 4 cyl, needs to rev to get into the power. |
|
