The key is just a shaft, with a very flimsy plastic piece that connects the shaft to the chip that enables you to start the car. Two of these broke and the dealer wanted $275 for the key and programming. Black eye on an otherwise great car.
Sep 2016 180000 mi US $75	To open hatch you press a bar just above the license plate to release the latch then lift up. The part you lift is cheap plastic. I have seen these broken on several tC's. Bought part online that has better steel reinforcement.
