Trailer hitch installed by U-haul 13 years ago used wire nuts that weren't intended for exterior wiring. Caused a short resulting in a turn signal that made a ratcheting sound instead of clicks, and a failure of the brake lights. Took mechanic more time than expected to diagnose, so he kept car overnight. 2 tires were unable to maintain air pressure. Problem was caused by corrosion on inside of the rims. Rims were cleaned with wire brush and tire remounted to solve problem.
