Battery was constantly dead, alternator was replaced with a used unit as the old one was'nt outputtiong enough voltage. All connectors from the alternator to the battery were cleaned.  Oil return tube was slightly leaking but the oil entered and fouled a coil pack. Coil pack had to be replaced with a new unit and oil return tube replaced.
