Introduction

I bought my 2006 solara over the 2007 vw eos. Reasons: larger backseat in solara, better mpg with solara, better reliability rating with toyota, lower price point. Very happy with my choice.

Why the 2006 Toyota Solara?

Fuel economy

I get great fuel ecomony: 25-29 mpg combination of highway and city driving.

Reliability & durability

I bought this car used in 2007 (2006 solara). No repairs, only regular oil changes. I love Toyotas b/c they are build so well.

Quietness

2006 solara convertible SLE is very quiet with a smooth ride. Even with the top down, you can carry on a conversation with the front seat passenger if the windows are up.

Past personal experience

My other car is a 1996 Rav4 and is still running well with over 200,000 miles. I drive it almost everyday to work. My 2006 solara, so far, has been just as dependable and low maintenance.

Exterior styling

Nice looking!

Why Not the 2006 Toyota Solara?

Exterior styling

Only negative is large blind spot created with small rear window.
