4dr Sedan turbocharged 90hp 1.9L I4 Diesel 4-speed automatic FWD

Why the 2003 Volkswagen Jetta?

Fuel economy

Driven hard, I still get 31-32 mpg. driven like a normal human, I get 38-39. I really cant complain.

Powertrain performance

the torque on passing and hill climbs is so right. the car doesnt down shift, just builds torque and feels like the hand of god is whooshing you along

Driving position & visibility

theres plenty of room for a tall/large driver. seat height is manually adjustable. the distances the steering wheel and seat can be placed can accomodate andre the giant (no joke)

Price or payments

in 2003 I wanted a diesel passenger car (not a full size truck diesel). my other option was a mercedes e-class, in comparison I think I really got a good deal. 10k mi between oil changes, no spark plugs, cheap 15" tires
