Told can not find fault. The car occasionally loses power (possibly limp mode) with no check engine lights or similar in colder winter days. The problem goes away when the engine is restarted the second time immediately after onset of problem.

Volkswagen Golf / Rabbit / GTI in Ontario, Canada
Jul 2010 - Dec 2014
50840 mi C $500 Ignition coil(s) were giving out bad voltage to the spark plugs. The whole coil/wires and plugs as a whole unit were replaced since they came as a kit. The repair shop mentioned it was "early" for this repair to occur.
69200   replacement of rotors and pads on rear only - original since new
78120   replaced coolant sensor, thermostat and water pump - metal not plastic impeller used. Pump broke while doing 120 kph on highway plus onboard dash lights went off as well as the temperature gauge went redline.
83060   replaced speed sensor as the odometer measurement and speedometer reading was incorrect over 80 km/hr when compared to GPS device Update - speed sensor not the issue - reversed the repair - problem found in speedo head - a sensor replaced Aug 26th after three trips to the shop looking for issue.
86800   Previous speedo repair did not get corrected. Repair concluded speedo has an electronic defect and no previous repair has fixed it. We chose not to repair the speedo and will use tachometer to monitor speed.
99200   Rear wiper wiring harness failed and wore off the coating on some wires due to the opening/closing of the hatch( 3 locations I was told). Took 6 hours to find and fix the whole length of the wiring.
106400   For the second time in two years I had to pull the rear panel and lubricate the rear lock mechanism. Of course many of the plastic tabs hare now broken and it rattles when reinstalled.
