0 Repaired rear hatch wiring, door won't lock. Readjusted hinges in front and rear doors to stop doors from rubbing and chipping paint.

25420 20 Car hinge improperly set causes front left door to rub against rear left door upon closing. Finger nail size paint missing showing rust where the top left door tip is rubbing against left rear door. Left rear door also missing paint with rust. 
28520 0 Sunroof rattles at highway speeds when open. Gradual onset. Left front headlights went out for about a month then mysteriously came back by itself. Told can not find fault. The car occasionally loses power (possibly limp mode) with no check engine lights or similar in colder winter days. The problem goes away when the engine is restarted the second time immediately after onset of problem. 
32240 45 Car entering limp mode, previously only in winter. Last visit could not duplicate problem. This summer the problem came back and come on whenever full power is requested, also check engine light. Turbocharger vanes seized up, replaced. Moonroof developed leaks through passenger side drain hose. Recall was performed to trim the hose to prevent clogging. Center console clip mechanism broke, replaced. 
34100 1050 Signal Switch ticker malfunction. Continues to tick after returning from left/right turn. Replaced switch. Left front headlight went out again, didn't come back by itself this time around. Apparently front right headlight leak also. Light bulb replaced in left, replaced right headlight assembly. Front right bearing making noise, needed replacement. Replaced front right wheel bearing. Rear windshield washer sprayer hose clogged or nozzle clogged. Replace rear washer hose. 
44640 70 Exhaust bracket broken. Needed to be rewelded to chasis mount points. 
53320 250 Starter replacement with new Bosch unit. Old starter turning very slowly. 
53720 10 Windshield wiper mechanism gradually seizing up. Water was found in the sleeve bearing mechanism. Instead of buying new wiper assembly, the old assembly was taken apart and cleaned then re-lubricated with lithium grease. 
53940 450 Control arm bushings torn. Replacement set purchased by owner at 200 dollars a set of control arms with bushings pre-installed, the local shop performed the actual repair.

50840 500 Ignition coil(s) were giving out bad voltage to the spark plugs. The whole coil/wires and plugs as a whole unit were replaced since they came as a kit. The repair shop mentioned it was "early" for this repair to occur. 
69200 400 replacement of rotors and pads on rear only - original since new 
78120 875 replaced coolant sensor, thermostat and water pump - metal not plastic impeller used. Pump broke while doing 120 kph on highway plus onboard dash lights went off as well as the temperature gauge went redline. 
83060 350 replaced speed sensor as the odometer measurement and speedometer reading was incorrect over 80 km/hr when compared to GPS device Update - speed sensor not the issue - reversed the repair - problem found in speedo head - a sensor replaced Aug 26th after three trips to the shop looking for issue. 
86800 0 Previous speedo repair did not get corrected. Repair concluded speedo has an electronic defect and no previous repair has fixed it. We chose not to repair the speedo and will use tachometer to monitor speed. 
99200 450 Rear wiper wiring harness failed and wore off the coating on some wires due to the opening/closing of the hatch( 3 locations I was told). Took 6 hours to find and fix the whole length of the wiring.

13000 0 Cruise control was not setting properly. The GTI did have a control module replace a long time ago by another dealer. Dealer #2 reported that the pin on that module that controls cruise functions was bent by Dealer #1. Loaner was provided by dealer/VWo
