2014 Cadillac ELR Seat Room and Comfort: Pros | ||

2014 | Both cars have comfortable front seats, but the ELR's provide more lateral support, at least with the $2,450 brown interior option (which adds power adjusters to their modestly sized side bolsters). Front seat access isn't among the ELR's strengths. As is often the case with coupes, the doors are long and heavy. see full Cadillac ELR review |

The Volt's rear seat is pretty tight. The Cadillac ELR's is even tighter. At 5-9, I barely have enough space for my head and knees, and this when sitting behind someone my own size. Put someone taller in the front seat, and even pre-teens will have trouble squeezing into the back seat. This being a two-door, rear seat access is also dicey. The Tesla's rear seat is far roomier than either GM car's. Plus a rear-facing third row is optional. see full Cadillac ELR review |

I had an old large dog who loved car rides, and this car was lower to the ground to allow her easier access, and the backseat was very comfortable and spacious for her. Human guests also appreciated the more spacious rear seat room and comfort, though for the past year or 2 I have completely removed the rear seats in favor of even more cargo room (and the excuse not to transport people). see full Nissan Versa review |

The seats are very comfortable. Made of squishy dense foam: not too hard but still supportive enough. I have reclined and slept in the front passenger seat overnight several times. see full Nissan Versa review |

The front seats lumbar support are uncomfortable. The back seats are a lot better, they feel really comfortable to sit or take a nap in. see full Nissan Versa review |
