Alternator died. It was replaced by a local shop. Part plus labor was 350 US dollars. Far too much for this car. I don't have a garage or I'd do the labor myself. Although the engine compartment is quite small with little work room.

251000 mi US $42	Cruise control stopped working. Replaced cruise control switch. Problem not fixed. Unseated and reseated electrical connector at engine control module. Problem fixed.
291000 mi	Battery icon lamp would turn on randomly while driving. Checked voltage while running. 13 volts. Checked wiring. Intermittent alternator charging. Alternator failed completely. Alternator replaced. Battery icon lamp turned and stays off.
