In very cold weather (sub-20* F), van is very hard to start when engine is cold: turning key for 3+ minutes of sputtering yields awfully rough start-up & engine code P0336 (crankshaft position sensor). New battery & fuel treatment no help.
134000 mi Researched cold weather start problem, found it was going to be difficult. I wasn't willing to pay a shop a bunch of money to change a bunch of parts, while pretending to fix the cold-weather-non-start problem. nor the probably-broken-motor-mounts-induced "clunk" upon take-off, either.
74400 mi

C $500
Drive light blinked. replaced temperature sensor in tranmission. Dealer mechanic said it could have caused damage due to overheating. Light would go out if the van was turned off and on again. Tended to be worse in summer when hot.

Multifunction Indicator Light came on. (Very often caused by a loose or missing gas cap.) When my wife consulted dealer, they suggested replacing the gas cap. She returned home with a new gas cap installed. Eventually, the light went off. Hopefully all is ok now. Update: Multifunction Indicator light still comes on. Gas cap was not the problem. Evaporative emissions system problem. Will live with this until SMOG test is required. I have OBD code reader so I can check to make sure this is the only reason the light is coming on. When I clear the code the light will stay off for a few weeks, especially if we keep the gas tank above 1/2 full.
