Check Engine Light lit up on March 12th, 2017. Code obtained: P0300. Plan was to replace all spark plugs but requested that my mechanic look further into issue due to 2004 Nissan Sentra's being prone to head gasket failure. Mechanic noted coolant leakage into cylinder with a scope & it was decided to replace head gasket. Timing chain failure; replaced. |

Fuel pump was replaced. This is a big problem with this era of Nissan Sentra. If you start the car and drive for 5 minutes and shut it off it starts right back up no problem. When you drive somewhat longer, the fuel pump overheats. When you shut the vehicle off for about 10 + minutes, the car cranks quite a bit because it isn't getting fuel. Not sure if I'm exactly right about the diagnosis but you get the idea. It's a big expensive problem It should have been a recall but it was not covered by any recall. |
