Replaced spring insulator for lower control arms. One appeared OK, while the spring end had worn through the other. This is an often overlooked item when the front suspension is serviced. Replaced both driver and passenger side brake hoses due to the calipers having slipped out of my hands or falling off of the wire when securing to address other items for service. Did not wish to trust hoses that endures unnatural strain. Complete front end alignment after all other items had been serviced. Replaced EGR under warranty as this was replaced a year ago. The replacement part (BWD) includes a lifetime warranty. Replaced driver and passenger side wheel bearings. Symptoms: 1) groaning sound when vehicle slowed; 2) clanging sound when backing or slowly accelerating from a dead stop. Raised vehicle and performed wheel bearing check (grabbed each wheel and rocked back and forth). Wheels demonstrated play which indicates bearing failure. | ||
