65000 mi Had to replace cam and lifters. I now have metal fragments from the worn cam and lifters floating around in my engine I am extremely concerned about long term engine life due to this problem. GM wouldn't admit any problem until I found the TSB's online.
96000 mi Engine miss in cylinder one. Dealer replaced valve covers and baffle in oil pan to redirect oil flow. Claimed this is causing oil in cylinder one to fowl spark plugs.
109000 mi

GM suggested replacement of the pistons and rings but once the head was removed there was substantial scoring of the cylinder walls. At that point GM agreed to replace the engine.

They ran the code and suggested that I replace the gas cap which I ordered from Amazon Genuine GM Yellow cap $9) light came on again I replaced the gas cap and CEL came on again and the tech traced it to a solenoid on the fume canister which he replaced under the emissions warranty.
