Warning light said clutch overheating stop car. Garage diagnosed it as mechatronics unit failure. The cost of the part alone is over £1000. The part took about 3 weeks to arrive from Germany. Audi would give no assistance whatsoever despite this being a common problem. I asked for the old part and was given it but they had to check it was the right one as they had done a few of these units recently. Didn't expect a brand like Audi to fail so spectacularly at this mileage. Will not be buying another and will be looking to get rid of this before I get another expensive bill. |
