rebuilt drive shaft driver side. Noticed grease leakage but boot looks fine. Replaced with new boots. This happen to me before but did not replaced with new boot previously. |
14760 mi | Clutch pedal was making a clicking sound. Repaired under warranty. |
106 mi | Transmission output shaft bearing? Maybe differential? They replaced the entire unit. Unclear if the problem was caused by an accident. When I picked up the car from the dealership after the collision repair, there was a horrible grinding noise, much like when gears get sheared off in a transmission. I didn't pay out-of-pocket, the insurance company paid for the removal, used transmission, and installation of the used transmission. The "feel" of the transmission leads me to believe there may have been a factory defect in my original transmission, as it's no longer impossible to get it into 1st gear at a dead stop without first shifting into 2nd gear. The car did that ever since I got it new, but I never thought anything of it. |
