2011 Mercury Milan 4dr Sedan

240-horsepower 3.0L V6 6-speed shiftable automatic FWD

105550 mi

US $1615
Replaced entire Electrical Power Steering Unit. Warning light came upon dashboard, car was extremely difficult to steer. Car ran perfectly earlier that day. This happened about 2 months previously, I disconnected a battery terminal and reinstalled. It then ran fine and I forgot about it. When it happened this time disconnecting the terminal did not help, as I tried it several times. There was a recall on this very item but.....my car had a "born on date" 10 days before official date. I feel as though my car should have been covered, since it had the same symptoms as the vehicles which were recalled. $1400.
