A dead battery on a hot day had me bring to shop, expecting a simple replacement. Dealer diagnosed a bad diode (of three?) in alterator leading to OV and liekly premature failure for new battery. Learned that in order to repalce alternator it is required to remove AC compressor (!!!!). Online research showed this to be true, so went ahead with whole package. The dealer has treated me will in past, so am choosing to not doubt diagnosis. |
