2013 Honda Fit 4dr Hatch

117-horsepower 1.5L I4 5-speed manual FWD

39000 mi

US $400
Cylinder 3 ignition coil failed and also damaged the spark plug. Coil and all plugs were replaced.
111000 mi

US $500
Spark plug blew out and had to be rethreaded. Mechanic advised that one of the cylinders is too close to the exhaust manifold, putting it at greater risk of heat damage.
163255 mi

US $980
#3 Spark plug took off, needing to be re-threaded and replace coil, wire and plugs.
53320 mi

C $300
Misfire cyclinder 3. Coil pack replaced under warranty paid for 4 spark plugs.
67022 mi

C $60
This is my second misfire issue I've had this time it was cylinder 1 and 4 the plugs came "loose", issue before was cylinder 2, coil pack covered under warranty paid for 2 plugs
38000 mi Sensor for one of the radiator fans wasn't working. Sensor replaced.
35800 mi Check engine and stability control lights illuminated on cold start. Code p0302 cylinder #2 misfire. Dealer replaced coil pack for that cylinder. Repair not sucessful, light came on again the next day on cold start. Check engine and Trac control lights on one day after previous repair. Same P0302 code. Dealer checked valve clearances, found #2 valves tight, adjusted all valves, cleared code. Repair unsuccessful, light came back on in one day. Took car back to dealership for check engine light, they found spark plug loose from previous valve adjustment. Torqued plugs to spec, cleared code. Light has stayed off for over 1,000 miles and two months so I think it is fixed for good
61000 mi Engine spit out #2 spark plug while driving on highway, ruining plug, coil & head. #2 plug had previously loosened due to prev. faulty dealer warranty work, requiring return trip then. Head replaced under corporate goodwill.

2013 Honda Fit 4dr Hatch

117-horsepower 1.5L I4 5-speed automatic FWD

37200 mi Camshaft recall
77000 mi

US $90
Heat shield replaced since it rusted off.
38772 mi Lack of acceleration @ low speeds; always in VTEC. Mechanic could not replicate and no DTCS showed on scan: unresolved; transmission level was low- replenished but no explanation of fluid loss! Still have same acceleration complaint: learning to live with it, but disappointed.
36000 mi Misfire of 4th engine coil. Check engine light and vehicle stability assist light flashing. New coil pack was installed, new gasket along with new spark plugs. Problem happened a week later. Dealer installed new ECU. Covered under warranty.
620 mi Cylinder misfire
58900 mi Audible ticking sound can be heard from the engine, particularly when the engine is cold. The frequency of the ticking is directly related to RPM. Mechanics suspect that engine needs a valve height adjustment, but at the time of the servicing the ticking could not be heard (probably because the engine warmed up during the drive to the shop), so no repair was attempted. Will make plans to leave car with dealer overnight so they can start it the following day to hear the engine when
60760 mi

C $600
Follow-up repair from previous diagnosis. Engine made a ticking noise that was directly related to RPMs. Noise became more noticeable and persistent over the past few months. A valve height adjustment and spark plug replacement was performed.
