2014 Subaru Crosstrek 4dr Hatch

148-horsepower 2.0L H4 6-speed shiftable CVT AWD

49000 mi check engine, traction and cruise control lights on for several days. checked for code. was coming due for oil change - dealer recommended a "flush" and oil change; thought it might be debris in the oil system (or something like that).
32000 mi

US $3
Worth mentioning here, my 2014 Crosstrek with 32k miles on her, seems to consume a little bit of oil. I don't see any leaks or puddles on the ground, the car runs perfectly, but I have to top up the oil every other month. If I do not add oil, the oil light comes one. If I ignore it, eventually I get a CEL and the cruise control will not work until I add oil and the oil light and CEL go off.
31000 mi Check engine light came on. Dealer replaced oil control valve under warranty.
20000 mi Burning coolant, dealer refused to fix. They said that it was caused by a tech putting 2 quarts too much oil 5000 miles prior. Car still smokes and occasionally stalls on startup. Subaru of America is investigating.
26000 mi Thermostat was bad
28000 mi Coolant hose began leaking
12000 mi Check Engine Light. Code was P0000C. Oil Control Valve replaced. Check engine light reset.
15000 mi CEL illuminated around 15,000 miles. It was the oil control valve on the other cylinder bank. Valve part # checked against recall and found to be good. Cleaned valve, reset CEL. Code P000A. Oil Control Valve on other cylinder bank. Valve part# not part of a OCV recall. Tech cleaned and reinstalled valve. Reset CEL.

2014 Subaru Crosstrek 4dr Hatch

148-horsepower 2.0L H4 5-speed manual AWD

9000 mi Added .5 qt of oil and reprogrammed ECM for oil level detection, then performed complete oil change.
24300 mi Check engine light and vehicle dynamics control light came on. Cruise control indicator started blinking. Code P0000A found during diagnostics. Replaced R/H Intake OCV for being inoperative. Part number 10921AA230 (Valve AY Oil)
39000 mi Low oil light came on. Dipstick almost dry. Dealer found oil level 34 oz low. Performed oil change. Performed software update for low oil detection light. CID# EP5L300A. Started oil consumption test. Return after 1200 miles.
39700 mi Returned for oil consumption as per previous trip in September 2016. Dealer found oil 4 oz low. Added 4 oz and was told consumption is within spec for being driven 1301 miles. Will return for another consumption check at 1200 miles.
43000 mi Due to ongoing oil consumption issue (see previous repair reports), the short block engine was replaced. At this time, it is too early to tell whether repair was successful. Will need to monitor oil consumption.
47036 mi Check engine light on. Code P000A. Cam position sensor low response B1 caused by sticking cam sensor. Replaced right intake cam sensor.
