Feb 202263000 mi | on-going problem. In 2020, the coolant diverter (common issue on the GM 1.4L DOHC/T engine) was replaced. Technician left cap loose on expansion/overflow tank. Between shop and home, engine pumped most of the coolant out of the system. Was returned to garage next day and refilled/bled. Since that trip, the engine has not been right. Continually loses heat and will display an overtemp warning light on the cluster. Was returned to dealer Monday (1-31-22) for diagnostic. Replaced the thermostat/thermostat housing. Technician test drove the car. Engine displayed the same symptoms- loss of heat and overtemp light. Returned to shop on 2-2-2022... spent four hours diagnosing, still could not solve problem. Car continues to have this issue. Dealer is at a loss. Ongoing issue...will keep posted. |
