Passenger airbag stayed disabled even with a person sitting upright in the seat and buckled in. The cause was found to be the passenger seat occupancy sensor calibration. The airbags are supposed to engage if 70lbs is detected in the seat. It took over 170 lbs to finally engage the airbags. Due to price, repair was denied to consider other options. |
