20000 mi | Car didn't start in the morning. 12v battery was dead. I wasn't able to jumpstart. After 20 mins of keeping it connected with the other car, still the battery didn't get enough charge to start the car. Car had to be towed. After 2 days at the dealership they charged the battery and returned the car. They spent a lot of time trying to find the root cause, but they had no clue why battery went dead. This is the 6th time in 2 years. Overall this is a shame because the main battery was fully charged! Such advanced car has LACKS the ability to start the system and move (and start charging the 12v battery) using the charge from that massive Lithium ion battery. Volt is really a spend car but I do not treat it as a reliable mode of transportation anymore. (a) it comes with the battery or the charging system that is faulty (b) poor diagnosability when it breaks. |

Wireless key failed. Dealer claimed it got wet, but I did not drop it in water. Maybe humidity? Not cover and cost me $200. |
6000 mi | Cruise Control failed and needed to "relearn" how it should be used. |
