2016 Chevrolet Volt 4dr Hatch

149-horsepower Plug-in Hybrid CVT FWD

3899 mi Engine idled extremely roughly in cold; replaced fouled spark plugs.
27000 mi Then two weeks later the gas engine sputtered while going uphill. The local dealer looked at the car, and said the FUEL INJECTOR SEALS had not been replaced by the other dealer when installing the new engine. The seals were on back order for two weeks, so I had a loaner car while the replaced the injector seals in the new engine. The gas engine seized during highway driving, as a cooling hose came off the engine block. The engine overheated and siezed. The dealer replaced the engine.
14000 mi Software update for Engine Idle and Cameras Normal Oil, Lube Tire Rotation
44000 mi Catalytic converter- covered under warranty
1700 mi The electric drive module was faulty, causing a CEL and needed to be replaced
9000 mi Oil pan leak
19000 mi Factory coolant hose configuration was causing it to rub. Hose eventually ruptured and leaked coolant. Dealer replaced hose.
8000 mi Recall for hesitation
55000 mi Gas engine failed to start after the electric motor battery was depleted. Car was towed to dealer. Dealer unable to find a problem. Oil pan leak
2480 mi Check engine light, EGR needed replacement, maybe related to transmission change, damaged original valve during disassembly/reassembly
6200 mi Car died on Florida turnpike, no power and "shift to park" message. GM replaced what they call an "F module" which I later learned was power inverter module that sits on the tranny.
44640 mi EGR valve failed. The failure invoked a short in the coil which also took out fuse F3 ( non walk home fuse) which takes out cooling control, even on electric, This failure is quite common on G2 volts. Delver told me that he know an owner where this has happened 4 times Repaired free under emissions warranty
55800 mi On way home from Florida, threw a P2097 emission systems code. Post O2 sensor. Engine performed normally but engine temp went up from 195F to about 230. After 4 or 5 stops ( gas, hotel stay) I noticed engine temp began swinging from 180 to 230F, all during constant speed driving. Then check engine light went out and engine temp went back to iits normal 195-205 range. Shop found another software update from about 2018 addressing this false flag. I had this issue before in 2016 and an update was supposed to s correct this but it seems further updates were necessary Corrected under warranty
6000 mi Updated computer so engine runs smoother.
