History: factory default caused catastrophic engine failure at <29,000 miles. Engine was REPLACED June of 2017. Head gasket installed during that repair was damaged but not noticed. Car returned to shop September 2017 after head gasket failed. Head gasket replaced again. Started burning through coolant again, came close to overheating. Brought in with suspicion of warped head. Dealership found no fault with head; could not immediately determine source of problem. Replaced all seals in cooling system; repaired oil control valve. Time will tell if this solved the problem.

The latest trip was for a check engine light, that turned out to be the second time the cam position through a code. Patrick Subaru cleared the code, and it came right back on the next day.
