2017 BMW X1 4dr SUV

turbocharged 228hp 2.0L I4 8-speed shiftable automatic AWD

8000 mi car did not respond smoothly when depressing the accelerator. If gave the impression of mis-firing or dirty fuel but was diagnosed as a faulty air intake which was intended to operatate smoothly 'open and close' when using the acclerator
7500 mi The car went into "limp mode" and noted a "Drivertrain Malfunction". The dealer replaced the fuel injectors and spark plugs. I drove it 12 miles and the problem repeated. Diagnosed with a cracked cylinder head. Cylinder head was replaced but CEL still lit. It's now been at the dealership for 40 days and I have initiated a Lemon Law buyback.
8000 mi A long saga that ended in BMW giving me a replacement car. Over six weeks in the shop continuously. Replaced fuel injectors, plugs and wires, reflashed computer, and replaced cylinder head.
