2017 Honda Ridgeline 4dr SUT

280-horsepower 3.5L V6 6-speed automatic AWD

74400 mi

C $1000
Brake job all pads rotors and fluid. Plus regular maintenance oil change and transmission oil change.
5500 mi Small stone fell between rotor and caliper while driving on a gravel road. Dealer removed caliper and rotor, removed stone, checked for damage (none observed) and reinstalled rotor and caliper.
18000 mi

US $150
Brakes pumping when slowing from, e.g., 70 mph to 55 mph with brakes lightly applied. Also some slight shimmy in steering wheel. Problem did not occur when braking slightly harder from lower speeds (e.g, 55 mph) to stop. Repair shop diagnosis was " very, very slight warping of front rotors". Rotors were turned (according to repair shop) "absolute minimum amount". Problem with pumping and shimmy was eliminated. Other Ridgeline owners have said that bits of brake pad can stick to rotors causing this problem but repair shop said "not possible" (for what it's worth).
