The shifter button was getting stuck. When stuck, the car cannot turn off properly because the car won't turn off in gear. This happened and drained the battery. Both the battery and shifter required replacement (the battery may have need to be replaced from general wear and tear within the next couple years anyway, but this killed it slightly premature). It's not a true transmission problem, it might be considered trim. |
