287-horsepower 3.6L V6 9-speed automatic FWD
5450 mi | While driving at 60 mph on the highway the engine shut down without warning. Failed to restart 20 times, then shut off Automatic Engine Start/Stop feature and it immediately was able to be restarted. Chrysler has no idea what has caused this issue on my Pacifica a(nd several other 2017 and 2018 units. It leaves no error codes in the computer so they can't diagnose it. They also have this same issue on some newer Wranglers that use the same engine. I don't drive mine that much and this issue has not happened on my Pacifica since the initial incident, but from what I've read on some of the forums, I should expect it to happen again. Hopefully next time, I will capture the incident on video if I can safely record it. |
82000 mi US $600 |
After replacing both batteries (start-stop and main battery) the vehicle continues to show failure of the start-stop system. Mechanic says he hasn't been able to clear the error message, but continues to try to get his diagnostic equipment working to clear the fault. |
27000 mi US $800 |
Transmission mount bolt broken |
5000 mi | Gas fill sensor caused intermittent block to gas fillup (gas pump would shut down) |
52722 mi | CEL and sputtering engine - cylinder misfire. Also coolant empty and car temperature high warning message. Head gasket failure allowed coolant into cylinder. Replaced right cylinder head gasket and associated seals and hardware. |
35971 mi | Valve cover gaskets were leaking |
248-horsepower 3.6L V6 Plug-in Hybrid CVT FWD
4052 mi | Gas station fillers sometimes would click off well before the tank was full, making it difficult to tell when I should actually stop refueling. Dealer was unable to duplicate the issue. |
49000 mi US $600 |
The engine started to misfire. This is plug-in hybrid and the true gas engine mileage is less than 20,000 (car at ~50,000). We were sure this should be covered under warranty (powertrain). Dealer replaced the spark-plugs and charges us for the repair since "this is wear item". Recommended spark plug replacement by the dealer is every 100,000 miles. We did not win the argument unfortunately. The car was fixed and running Ok since than. |
67000 mi | High voltage battery connection had become loose and car wouldn't go into drive. |
73000 mi | The onboard charging module failed and had to be replaced. |
25000 mi | Apparent animal (squirrel?) damage to wiring leading to lack of firing of one cylinder, misfire, and requiring repair. [rodent damage] |
2000 mi | Check engine light was on. |
3000 mi US $300 |
Check Engine Light Message indicated there was a fault in the Catalytic Converter heater. Light stayed on for two days and then went out. Dealer reported they could not get history on the error as Chrysler does not save those messages. |
8000 mi | Battery heating system issue |
3500 mi | Screen had lines on it that would not go away. Charging Schedule did not work |
12000 mi | Replaced battery coolant heater electrical connector. |
1200 mi | Warning "Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System" appeared. Dealer cleared 11 codes, needs to replace a battery charge sensor. Part ordered. |
5000 mi | Check Engine Light. parts needed to be ordered. |
