How unreliable has it actually been?

Ask the People Who Own One:

2021 - 2024 Acura TLX
michaelz08

The reviews from the media are generally positive, and none mention the electronic glitches/issues the Acura forums have mentioned. The forums make it sound like the most unreliable car that Honda has ever made, even though the major components of the car- infotainment, engine, transmission- are not new and have been in production for some years now.

How has the car been reliability-wise for the first year; Has it been non-stop dealer visits for front-suspension thumps and crashing infotainment and speaker static? Or has it been a solid car with just the forums doing their typical issue-amplification?

According to everyting I read including Consumer Reports, the TLX since it was remodeled in 2020 has been nothing but trouble. Engine problems are frequent. Transmission is okay but some units have problems. Electrical systems are problematic. At this point unfortunately you are better off with an Audi if you want a luxury car. Acura's sedan is nothing to write home about. This is for a car that is less than three years old in production.
