300hp and flat torque curve of the twin turbo 3.0l engine
convertible adds lots of head room over the coupe. seats are supportive
soft top (compared to the 3 series hard top convertible). Items I do not want (power seats, leather, nav) are not standard so I do not have to pay for them with a higher base price. Items I do want (sport pkg, ipod/usb interface) are available as options.
my 1996 328ic has been reliable and fun to drive.
