turbocharged 228hp 2.0L I4 8-speed shiftable automatic FWD
10000 mi | Brake pedal feel is very long, soft/spongy and then grabby. BMW dlr tech and Service person both drove it and said 'it is normal' and 'the nature of this car'. I drove another loaner from lot: same crappy brake feel. This X1 has The Worst brake pedal feel in 55+ years of my driving all kinds of cars and motorcycles. Our 17 yr old X5 brakes like it hit a wall of Jello; this 2017 X1 has really inferior braking feel, though it does brake well/short distance under very hard braking from higher speeds. Unacceptable, imo. |
