Introduction

I like this car in general, having the ability to lower the top is a higher priority for me than most of the things this car lacks.

If you want a low tech convertible this is it.

If you want a high tech car, look elsewhere.

Why the 2018 Buick Cascada?

Exterior styling

You either like it or you don't. I like it, its European for sure, as its a rebadged Opel.

Interior styling

The interior materials are top notch. The center of the instrument panel has too many buttons and too small of a touch screen. It needs the newer Intellilink systems.

Color choices

They are ratehr muted, the darker colors look better on this car in my opinion

Powertrain performance

There is turbo lag and torque steer, the car can be sluggish off the line if you don't push it hard.

Ride smoothness

It rides like a German car, 20 inch weels with ultra low profiles let you feel every road imperfection

Why Not the 2018 Buick Cascada?

Audio & nav systems

Two genrations behind my other vehicles, very outdated.

Price or payments

No retail support for this car, high payments for the price.

Driving position & visibility

Horrible blind spots, no blind spot monitoring offered.

Feature availability

No easy access keys, no blind spot monitoring, no remote top operation, no advanced cruise control, not high tech at all.

Dealer practices

Dealers are shady at best, will never buy another GM vehicle until the dealers are held to a higher standard.

Conclusion

I wouldn't buy another one, I'd look at an AudiA3 or BMW230i.
