Why the 2004 Cadillac XLR?

Interior styling

Simple instumentation layout. Luxurious interior. Great fit and finish of materials. Non-glare metal accents. Heated (and cooled) seats are a nice feature.

Ride smoothness

This is a very tight ride; firm, but not harsh like, say a Corvette. The Magnetic Ride Control really "reads" the road (every milli-second) and adjusts accordingly. Potholes and road irregularities are quickly and efficiently dampened.

Materials & workmanship

Non-glare metal finish is apprciated with the top down. The honey-colored eucalyptus wood is a nice contrast to my dark leather interior.

Handling

Just a firm, well-planted, fun to drive vehicle. Make sure you add the rear stabilizer bar (about $200) which for some reason was omitted on the base XLR. It makes a huge difference!
