2005 - 2011 Chevrolet Cobalt

I have a 06 Chevy Cobalt.
For a while when I went to put my car in reverse it wouldn\'t want to go and if you pressed the gas hard it would thunk into gear. But I found if I put it in drive and then back in reverse it would be fine. (Not sure if that has anything to do with this issue)
I went to start it yesterday and it started, idled fine and revved up while in park just fine & normal. When I put it in gear to go and pressed the gas it would barely go and then bog, go, bog. I couldn\'t get it over 10mph. I luckily coasted into Oriellys and my TC light came on. They said it threw a code for the Mass Air Flow Sensor. I barely got it home (it took me 30 minutes to go a mile in town.) I went to start it again and now it won\'t even start! It just tries and tries to turn over. Makes a weird noise but doesn\'t tick as it would with a dead battery.
Any ideas? I\'ve only had this car for 4 months!
Oh & someone took off the Mass Air Flow thing and cleaned it. No help.
I need insight please! :(
