Front trunk would not open using any of the three normal means of doing so. After much consultation with GM techs over 3 days local tech finally convinced them it was an actuator problem (not software). GM overnighted an actuator and problem solved.
Have a noise from the right side of the car, inside by the rear speaker. Have been trying to find it for a while. I am going to take the mechanic for a test drive so he can pinpoint it.

A standard problem with most 'vettes is a popping/crackling noise from the removable roof panel.
There is a TSB for this issue, and the TSB was fixed on my car for this trip. Parts were ordered, so the car was in the shop 1 extra day.
The Corvette coupe has a removable hardtop. The rollers used to secure the roof to the frame were re-designed and a Service Bulletin was issued. New rollers installed and problem resolved.

The driver seat belt shoulder strap rubs against the seatback until the material breaks down. Chevrolet replaced it once, but wouldn't a second time. Corvettes come with cheap seats and this is an inherent defect. Chevy can do better.
