4dr SUV 270-horsepower 4.2L I6 4-speed automatic 4WD w/low range

Why the 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer?

Ride smoothness

The large tires and the seats really are comfortable.

Feature availability

In 02, heated side mirrors, on-star and other small but nice things were standard.

Powertrain performance

I personally love the inline six. I liked the way the drive shaft went through the oil pan, allowing a lower stance. It has wnderful torque, yet good mpg (at least for the time). The auto drive select was nice.

Cargo capacity

For a 6 cyl, it had 5000lbs ability.

Why Not the 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer?

Quietness

Wind noise! I take long drives to Mo from IL and the tire and wind noise drove me to...a car!

Safety & braking

Spongie! Soft! I felt like the breaks sunk and the body dove foward and down in emergency breaking.

Materials & workmanship

Replaced the auto drive select twice within warranty. Rear light electricle replaced within warranty. Replaced brakes twice...once within a year. The front stableizers replaced.
