Engine stalls, transmission locking up, engine light going on, high pitch sound from engine going up hill, slight lag or pause when pressing gas pedal before car accelerates, cell phone uconnect not working.
The car required a software driveability update because it would go into limp mode and lose all turbo boost under certain conditions.
Occasionally, before starting the car, the clutch pedal stays depressed after you step on it to start the car. You have to pull it back up with your foot and repeat the process a few times before the clutch pedal works normally again.
The lever that unlocks reverse on the shifter knob broke, allowing you to shift in all 7 gears at any time. Makes it extremely difficult to find 1st and 2nd gears.
Clutch pedal stuck to the floor
Clutch pedal felt odd and would occasionally stick on the floor. Master cylinder was replaced to correct the issue.
Failed Clutch Master Cylinder, clutch pedal intermittently would drop to floor after car sat for a while. After pulling pedal up car would drive and shift fine.
Engine failed to start after driving 1/2 mile. After five attempts it finally started but check engine light came on and after driving to work there was a strong burning smell. Car driven to dealer next day when only found communication errors with Transmission Control Module.
Servicing Dealer did not remove transmission and instead just reflashed TCM. Car subject to prior recall for TCM issue.
If break down occurs again will be taken to selling dealer and a lemon law claim may be filed as it would be third issue if another occurrence. Has extended warranty (life time).
Symptom: DDCT. no park assist msg. Error codes said TCM errors.
Fix: TCM module had to be replaced.
Result: transmission shifts smoother and gas mileage is improved.
Bad slave cylinder badly affected performance of car, making it unsafe to drive
Clutch made a squeaky sound when depressed. They tried oiling it but it did not work. They had to change the pedals.
Seal cardran had a manufacturing defect. Transmission was leaking fluid as a result
Transmission control module went bad. Replace under warranty.
Transmission control module failed. It was replaced under the lifetime warranty that I purchased directly from Chrysler.
Transmission sensor prevented from driving the car, computer stated service transmission, car stalled. Car towed to dealer and fixed in one day, sensor was loose.
Trans controller recall for DDCT. The transmission occasionally would not go into gear.
Grounding point fell loose and caused transmission to stop responding.
engine was pulled and clutch slave cylinder was changed for recall. i knew of the recall but before i could schedule an appointment the clutch slave cylinder started to go out. plus oil change.
Replaced TCU after Engine light indicator came on.
Transmission would lurch at low speeds. Transmission was updated under warranty. Car at 30,000 miles still has issues. The transmission will shudder when going downhill at 5-10 mph. Trading car in soon.
Not shifting correctly. Does not downshift while stopped. Starts in high gear. Car acts like it in low gear when foot removed from gas pedal. They have service bulletin regarding this problem but no fix has been indicated.
Clutch pedal intermittently sticks to floor & can't get shifter out of gear when this happens. Dealership diagnosed but didn't find issue even after I mentioned issue was on Dodge Dart forum as happening to lots of other Dart owners.
Intermittent clutch issue...clutch master cylinder was replaced.
