The dealer couldn't pinpoint the leak so they installed dye in the engine oil and told me to come back in one or two weeks. Intermittently the air bag light comes on. This is because the DTC is throwing B0029 (voltage spike for 1-6 seconds). The dealer with help from Ford was unable to pinpoint the problem, reset the DTC, and told me to come back it it recurs. They used the UV dye to ascertain that the leak was from the oil pan gasket and replaced it. Intermittently the air bag light would come on. They were able to track it down to one connector which they cleaned and the problem went away.

Problem not resolved. Headlamp fault warning message randomly displayed on DIC(Driver Info Center) throughout ownership. TSB to resolve issue via BCM reprogram. I believe it is fixed but sometimes goes 6+ months before issue presents itself. Update: never reappeared. TSB preformed for Idle quality problems and dips. Related to earlier recall done on a poor quality wiring splice. Rattle with rear spoiler. Earlier repairs for rattles and water leak. Nothing was repaired at this time. Screws keep falling out of the spoiler and the trim covering has started rattling now because it has been taken off many times. Whirring noise happening under load at low RPM. Could be related to an earlier bearing replacement of the half shaft support, but I believe it is a separate issue Coolant Smell coming from vehicle after driving. No coolant loss, no visible leaks. However spoken to other owners who have reported same problem. Rough idle, surging, other rough running when cold that resemble carbon build up on intake valves. Continues to get worse over time. Dealer says no problem, could not reproduce but admitted to not driving it when it was cold.

Dealer was unable to replicate problem; still not working. Passenger side windshield wiper became intermittently inoperable about a week after recall repair. Vehicle had been towed to dealer other than one that performed the recall work; stated they found tools from the other dealer under hood.

Dealer discovered fuel tank was warped, replaced the tank. Windshield wipers became misaligned. Also, wipers were hitting each other on return. Continued false readings from fuel gauge. Dealer checked all systems and determined gauge was reading accurately. Car was returned with gauge reading approximately 1/2 tank. 2 days after car was returned with gauge indicating 1/2 full and assurances there was no problem, and having been driven about 60 miles, car stalled on a freeway in traffic. Ford roadside assistance delivered fuel. Started; driven to dealr Dealer determined car had defective gas tank purge valves, and replaced them on previous trip. Also determined that the fuel pump had been damaged and needed replacement. Part was on order, and required a separate visit to complete repair.

Manifold vacuum is not used for any function by the transmission, so I don't know if it's coincidence or not.
