What Our Members Are Saying about the Seat Room and Comfort of the 2009 Ford Taurus

2009 Ford Taurus Seat Room and Comfort: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2010 4dr Sedan turbocharged 365hp 3.5L V6
6-speed shiftable automatic AWD
Independently adjustable lumbar and cushion supports, individual front seat heaters, coolers and massagers for both the seat cushion and the back. Need I say more? see full Ford Taurus review
2010 4dr Sedan turbocharged 365hp 3.5L V6
6-speed shiftable automatic AWD
The front and rear seats are very comfortable. The back can be cramped with three passengers. The SL has heated front and rear seats which works great and are needed as the car heater is very slow to initially get warm. The heated steering wheel is also a nice touch. The seat fabric is soft but the light color might not wear well. see full Ford Taurus review

Leather appointed seats are like sitting in an easy chair. see full Ford Taurus review

2008 4dr Sedan 263-horsepower 3.5L V6
6-speed automatic FWD
Taller people ride in comfort, with ample room for long legs, even when the front seats are back. The fact that they also fold down adds tremendous versatility to this car. see full Ford Taurus review
2008 4dr Sedan 263-horsepower 3.5L V6
6-speed automatic FWD
Tons of room, with an open feel. see full Ford Taurus review
2008 4dr Sedan 263-horsepower 3.5L V6
6-speed automatic FWD
Three adults can sit in the back and there knees will not touch the front seats nor will there heads touch the ceiling. The seats are very comfortable. Noise is very low and the car has two vents blowing air or heat. see full Ford Taurus review
2008 4dr Sedan 263-horsepower 3.5L V6
6-speed automatic FWD
Outstanding interior space. I'm 6'4" with about a 34" inseam and I can sit comfortably in the rear when I have my front seat adjusted just so. With the driver seat all the way back, it's a stretch to reach the controls. see full Ford Taurus review

What Our Members Are Saying about the Powertrain of the 2009 Ford Taurus

2009 Ford Taurus Powertrain: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2010 4dr Sedan turbocharged 365hp 3.5L V6
6-speed shiftable automatic AWD
The performance is astounding. It is oddly quite with a small hum or whirling noise. Stepping on the throttle it will easily spin its front tires. see full Ford Taurus review
2010 4dr Sedan turbocharged 365hp 3.5L V6
6-speed shiftable automatic AWD
Reviews rate 0-60 anywhere from 4.8 to 5.5 seconds. Speed, twin turbos, and 6 speed automatic work great together. Fun to pass that Mustang GT between lights. The standard AWD on higher end models allows the car to go in the snow with no problems. see full Ford Taurus review
2010 4dr Sedan turbocharged 365hp 3.5L V6
6-speed shiftable automatic AWD
It has pickup to keep me interested in it, its not just all show no go. see full Ford Taurus review

2008 4dr Sedan 263-horsepower 3.5L V6
6-speed automatic FWD
More than plenty of power. Surprised a few of my friends who own performance vehicles. With over 136,000 miles, it still performs as well as the day I took it from the lot. see full Ford Taurus review
2008 4dr Sedan 263-horsepower 3.5L V6

It goes when you step on the gas peddle. see full Ford Taurus review
2008 4dr Sedan 263-horsepower 3.5L V6
6-speed automatic FWD
The car has plenty of power. We have no problem with the family and all our luggage for a week getting over mountains. The car does not struggle to maintain speed. It has no problem passing. The engine is very quiet and smooth. see full Ford Taurus review
2008 4dr Sedan 263-horsepower 3.5L V6
6-speed automatic FWD
nice balance of hp and fuel economy see full Ford Taurus review
2008 4dr Sedan 263-horsepower 3.5L V6
6-speed automatic FWD
The 3.5L DOHC V6 can put on speed with surprising verve and it sounds pretty good doing it. The transmission shifts nicely enough although occasionally there's some low speed clunk. But it's geared well for highway mileage and downshifts when you want. see full Ford Taurus review

2009 Ford Taurus Tires: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2010 4dr Sedan turbocharged 365hp 3.5L V6

The tires make a scrubbing noise on the pavement when turning. A testament to the quietness of the car. see full Ford Taurus review
